AeroScout T2s Tags
Small Form Factor Wi-Fi Tags for People Tracking and a Broad Range of Applications
AeroScout's T2s Tag is a battery-powered, Wi-Fi Tag that can be worn by people such as patients and staff, and attached to a variety of equipment such as small medical devices. The tag can be used for a variety of RTLS applications in indoor or outdoor environments and enables real time location, immediate chokepoint detection, room and bay/bed level resolution, call-button alerting, motion sensing and more.
T2s Tag messages are received and processed by standard Wi-Fi networks keeping total cost of ownership low and installation simple, as well as enabling visibility across the enterprise. As with all AeroScout Tags, location determination is performed through a unique Wi-Fi beaconing method that keeps network impact low and ensures scalability and long battery life. T2s Tags are ideal for patient and staff tracking and for a broad range of applications that streamline business processes and improve operations and workflow.
Room and Bay/Bed Location Resolution and Chokepoint Detection
T2s Tags include embedded Ultrasound and Low-Frequency (LF) receivers. AeroScout provides the only tags on the market that have this unique tri-mode functionality with Wi-Fi, Ultrasound and LF. Ultrasound signals do not go through walls and thus ensure accurate room-level resolution when and where required (e.g., to determine that a nurse is attending a patient in his room or real time tracking of a patient as he moves through the perioperative process). T2s Tags also provide instant notification when a tagged person or asset passes through a gate, doorway or other tightly-defined area (e.g., a wandering trauma patient leaving the ward unattended or a worker in a hazardous environment reaching an evacuation/mustering point).
Long Battery Life
The T2s Tag has a single, user-replaceable battery that provides up to four years of battery life. The tag provides a report on its battery level for timely battery replacement. The T2s Tag also has a motion sensor to conserve battery life when the tag is not in motion.
An optional call button provides the capability to define alerts according to button clicks – such as a patient distress call or a staff duress situation requiring immediate assistance or attention. Multiple messages can be set up using different button-click patterns.
The tag is designed to work indoors and outdoors, it is water resistant and can go through standard sterilization processes of medical devices.
Flexible Mounting and Usage Options
T2s Tags are designed to be worn with wrist straps by patients, staff members or other personnel. Lanyard and badge clip options are available, and in addition tags can be mounted on a variety of assets with a custom cradle, tie wrap, double-sided tape, adhesive or Velcro.
